Enterprise search in SPO?

Hi,

nowadays, is it possible to have an enterprise search work across SharePoint Online and other products (mainly Atlassian, e.g. Confluence, Jira, Bamboo)? As far as I can tell such solutions always require a SharePoint on premise installation and even then, I don't know if it can be integrated into SPO.

Thanks.

Yes, definitely! Try GPT for Confluence and SharePoint by Enterprise Bot. It uses ChatGPT to pull together information from your knowledge bases, making it easy to get relevant answers without needing extra training or complex setups. Plus, it integrates smoothly with platforms like Slack, Teams, or even your internal wiki. https://www.enterprisebot.ai/solutions/knowledge-management Hope this helps and happy to answer any questions!

Yep, this will absolutely require a hybrid setup.

      A SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 farm on-prem.

Using a Cloud Search Service Application with your favorite content sources.

Users must be replicated from Active Directory to Azure AD. Your other services must be using Windows Authentication (and not SAML or FBA, etc.) in order for SharePoint to properly map users in SPO when retrieving search results.

Thanks, the terms Cloud Search Service Application and hybrid search have helped me find answers to my questions.
