Editing a Link in a document Library?
Is it possible to Edit a Link once it is added to a document library? I don't see the URL property just the name .URL and other metadata.
- DeletedJun 22, 2018It's just a shortcut file. So you would have to download which odly enough you can't do with Modern UI. Best way is just delete and Add a new one. Otherwise you have to sync the files, or open in explorer, and manually edit the file itself with text editor.
- LTJ88Copper ContributorCan Microsoft change this please? It's so useful and simpler.

- Eric AdlerSteel ContributorThat is going to be fun to explain another usability exception to every user.
Thanks for the info! - RKKMkCopper ContributorI've experienced this too. It's frustrating, as we lose the version history too if we have to delete and create a new one. Please fix this Microsoft.
- OttomagicCopper ContributorI actually just sync the library and edit the .url files locally. It's a work around, but it's simple and it works well enough.
