Drop off library & modern document libraries

Hello everyone,

For my customer i've setup a drop off library that routes document to the correct location (other document libraries in the site) when filling in some metadata.

Recently this drop off library received the modern look & feel and this feature is not working anymore.

Is this by design? Is Microsoft going to add the drop off functionality in a later stage? Or should I be looking for alternative solutions?
