Document name icon? What is this?
I noticed an "icon" appear beside a document name in a modern document library. I haven't seen it before and want to know what it means. My first thought was it is a file I have downloaded...
- These are recently created documents. Recent is created in the last 2 days
What about the new share icon that's suddenly appearing to the left of the stacked ellipsis? I haven't been able to find any notes about it. It feels like this isn't functioning properly yet. If you mouse over a file name the icon appears, but if you click the new share icon, it simply launches the file. If you right-click on the icon, it opens the document menu options. If you click to select the document row and then click on the new inline share icon, it opens the Send Link dialog box and launches the document ???
It is a sharing icon and it works fine in my tenant.
Mysteriously it seems to functioning properly today!
Most probably it was still rolling out.
