Document library web part and URLs

Hi, I've created a document library used to host documents and links to other document (URLs). It is a central resource repository. On the site, there are many pages where that document library is filtered down to a particular view. However, there's a problem with URLs.

In the document library itself, double-clicking opens the URL. However, as a web part, the behavior is different. Double-clicking instead prompts me to download a ".url" file. This is unwanted behavior.

Is there a way to fix this default behavior?
