Document Library Search Function - Does it able to list the document within sub folders?
Dear All,
I tried to search the document within this keyword: DEC.
However the search bar lists the items which are related to DEC and Folder name: DEC.
The search bar can't list the document which is inside sub-folder or sub-sub folder which is related to DEC (metadata) as well.
Any advice on this?
Thanks.
Rgrds,

Hi Mikael Svenson,
1. Does it surface if you search from a search center?
Yes.
2. Search via the query tool with duplicate trimming turned offWhat's the query tool shall we use? How to turn off the duplicate trimming?
3. If you have a flat view while searching
A flat view? Any example?
Thanks.
- Mikael SvensonSteel ContributorIf it's in the search center you can skip 2 (Google SharePoint Search Query Tool to find it).
A flat folder view can be set up on a SP list/lib when you create/edit the view.
Other reasons could be that someone has set up a custom result source as default which interferes, or mapped a crawled property to a managed property in the search schema which breaks search in that scope.
