Hi Carl_Williams , have you already created your retention labels/policies in the M365 Compliance portal? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/retention?view=o365-worldwide#retention-policies-and-retention-labels

Hi Kelly. No, I had no idea about the M365 Compliance Portal (????). I was simply trying to follow the intuitiveness of the links in the document library settings as I've always done.
Had no idea that the links in Library Settings are just left there as a bread crumbs leading to frustration. NO WHERE does it say goto the M365 Compliance Portal.
Why would they (msft) provide an intuitive experience when you can waste valuable time??
