Difference of count between hits from Usage report and sie visits in site usage.

I have configured a new team site and i fetched the Usage report from https://dupont.sharepoint.com/teams/TaiwanHRSite/_layouts/15/Reporting.aspx?Category=AnalyticsSiteCollection under site collection administration from site settings. I matched the same with site usage under site contents and observed that:

1. The no of unique users are same for a particular day

2. No of hits are less in usage report fetched as compared to site visits in site usage page.

3. I could not see the today's date data in the usage report I fetched but can see the same in site usage page.

Could you please help in telling what is the logic behind the difference in these reports.
