This sounds like Document Sets - which is a folder with its own wiki page. This is as far as I know only available in SharePoint Online document library in Classic view.

I would also suggest Document Sets. The only drawback is that the Document Set page is still only in classic mode. So no Modern News or anything.

True documentsets would even be better.
