Create a chart in Sharepoint from a sharepoint list
Dropping in a few years late here, but since this exact Tech Community thread still pops up in search results for everyone hitting the "Quick Chart choice column wall," hopefully this saves a few headaches today!
This is one of the most common dead-ends in native SharePoint reporting. Quick Chart forces you to use numeric values, which makes it practically impossible to build a simple visual rating distribution (like Bad, Could be better, and Good) across multiple choice columns without creating hidden calculated columns or setting up external Power BI models.
Graphify was built specifically to eliminate that friction directly inside SharePoint lists. It’s a 1-click command bar extension that automatically handles text and choice field aggregation—meaning it calculates the count of records per rating automatically, with zero number columns or formulas required:
Why it works so well for Choice Column & Survey Analyses:
Automatic Choice Aggregation: Select your Bad / Could be better / Good choice fields, and Graphify automatically computes the total counts, percentages, and breakdowns on the fly.
Intelligent Peak & Low Insights: Automatically analyzes your response patterns, highlighting your top rating categories and lowest performing areas instantly so managers don't have to manually count rows.
Save & Share in Seconds: Easily save customized chart layouts directly onto your list view or export high-resolution graphics straight into executive slides and status updates.
100% Client-Side & Secure: Runs entirely inside your M365 tenant boundary, keeping employee feedback data completely private without requiring extra Power BI licensing.
