Connected Web Part - Having to scroll down for selected item?

Hi,

I've got a number of connected web parts (list views) on a SharePoint page, the "parent" list has over 500 items on it, the other web parts on the page filter based on a column within this parent list.  All works perfectly as expected but one thing I can't seem to over come, hence reaching out.  When an item is selected on the parent list (two apposing arrow icon) the page refreshes the selected item is miles down the list and I have to scroll down to find it again.  Is there any way of making the selected item remain in focus after it's selected?
