Column default values for Person/group
I have a document library with multiple folders. Each folder is a department, and inside the folders are the controlled documents for that department. I need a way to automatically tag any new do...
Just putting this here in case someone else is running into the same roadblock:
Instead of folders, I switched to document sets... you still can't technically have a default setting for the column... but you CAN set it up as a shared column and have that column synchronized. I set the document set up with the Approver, and now all the documents within it are set to the same person. Close enough.
