"Check Permission" shows "None" for users added in Sharepoint 2013 via AD security Group
I am using SharePoint server 2013. Web app is claims auth. Users are added in SharePoint 2013 via AD security Group.
Scenario - AD security group "Staffmembers" is provided read permission via default visitors group on a site. This group has all employees as members of the group. When I do a check permission for user X (who is a member of the Staffmembers security group), I see "None" as a result for "check permission".
The user X can browse the site and has browsed the site successfully. This behaviour is very annoying as it becomes difficult to troubleshoot access related queries. It defeats the entire purpose of the "check permission" functionality if it gives incorrect results like these. Does anyone know how to fix this ?
