Cannot simply copy text in field in modern list view

Something I'm finding annoying is that we can't simply copy the text in modern list.

You can select any text of the fields displayed as we could on a normal web page.

I don't know if it's intentional, I could imagine some reasons why... Or it's because of the interactive layer (right click provide a contextual menu)... But it's providing a poor UX.

We can click on a list item, and it will open it in the right pane. However when we select the text, it put that field in edit mode... Which create change events and unvunlontary mistakes.

I didn't find anyone complaining about this, so it might be just me...

If someone as a workaround, it's welcome.
