Auto add access to Document Set folder
I have a company, SharePoint, where I have a Documents Library called Projects. I will store multiple folders for my team projects; these are Documents Set folders so I can add certain Metadata. Part of the metadata is a client email (OP Email) and Client name (OP Name). Can I use this information to automatically give the client access to the new document set folder when it's created?
Please let me know if any further information is required
- BarbarurBrass ContributorI would personally create different library per Project. Managing permissions at Folder/Document Set level might create problems in the future when you have too many items view threshold will bring problems, and too many folders with unique permissions are difficult to track.
- billyrichrich83Copper ContributorThanks for suggestion. Silly question can these libraries have the same metadata linked to them in a similar way to Document Sets?
- BarbarurBrass ContributorDo you mean the default metadata? That's not possible unfortunately.
If you mean the columns used, same content type across all libraries would do.
