Approve/Reject missing in SharePoint Online document libraries
Anyone else missing Approve/Reject options in a library where Approval is enabled ? In addition the Approval Status column is not updated. Version history of this document (image attached) shows it is in Draft but ..
- The Approval Status column is blank
- I have no way to Approve it
jamaalmoosa I suspect that you did not link the X-axis labels to the Distance column. The labels in your picture seem to just count the number of data points. Having said that, allow me to suggest another chart that may represent your data better.
As you mention, you have three sets of data, Time, Energy and Distance. However, your chart only takes the latter two into account. Energy levels decrease (consumption) and increase (charging) over time. Distance traveled is also related to time as time progresses during both travel (consumption) and stand-still (i.e. charging).
Time is the factor that combines the other two and should therefore be on the X-axis. Then you could put the Energy part on the primary Y-axis and Distance on the secondary Y-axis. The chart would then look like in the picture below. I just made up some numbers to create a shape that resembles your picture.

I found a solution to my problem. In the settings for the document library I did this:
- Click "Versioning Settings"
- For "Require content approval for submitted items?" I selected "Yes"
This allowed me to approve and reject the documents in the workflow. I hope this helps others.

My Flow Approval is working fine - I just didn't realise the value written to the Approval Status column was hidden in Modern view - hence two hours wasted troubleshooting Rajkiran_Swain

Have the same issue. Approval Column status is empty in Modern View. Problem occurs on tenants in Canada and US.
- Don’t have access to computer right now but I don’t think approvals are in modern UI yet. You can make use of flow to handle approvals or you will need to take that library back to classic to use or just use the publish which is essentially the same but it only works for site pages libraries.

I was alerted to this this morning as I'm using a Flow with the new Approvals Action - but it no longer sets the Approval Status column. Then I noticed that the old, default behaviour no longer sets the column either - ie create or move/copy a doc into the library where Approvals have been enabled.
- Odd. Targeted release?

Approvals have been working in modern for ages, if not from the beginning. Just to be clear, this is simply setting Approvals in Library Settings.
I get the distinct impression that work is being done on the new Flow OOB Approval that joins the Request sign-off
