Apply a Choice Column to Folders, not just Files.

Hello, I have added a Column using Choice type but it's only applying to the files and not the folders. I want it to apply to the folders. Preferably only the folders but ok if it's the files too. In the screenshot I've set the option to require content in the column so you can see how it only applies to files.
