Announcing SharePoint filters pane updates – supporting all filtering and metadata navigation
We are pleased to announce the inclusion of metadata-driven filtering to the filters pane, originally introduced in late 2016. The filters pane provides a powerful way to automatically use the fields you had previously configured for library and list metadata navigation and key filters. The pane uses machine learning to suggest the most likely columns to be used for filtering. Learn more on our today's blog post. Thanks.

Hi Chris,
Today, just found the metadata's text can't be shown in filter pane, which will only show checkbox icon with empty spaces, so we can't use them like before. This issue can be reproduced in IE and Edge, but chrome is OK.
Is there any way to fix it?

Hi Miceile Barrett,
Firstly, just want to know is there any update about this issue? When will you plan to deliver the fix? Because we planned to promote a photo gallery which based on filter pane for employees to find our corporate pictures, now we have to defer it until you fixed this issue.
Secondly, I found another new issue about the filter pane, it looks like not all of terms in a term set will be shown in the filter pane, only 20 items will be shown, is there any limitation about the number of terms in a term set?
For example, we have a term set which have one item in first level and 40 items under it, but only the first 20 sub-items can be shown in filter pane:
You can see the items after 'GEG' in term set will not be shown in filter pane.
Thanks,

This was working fine in our environment as recently as yesterday, and today our Metadata columns stopped working with the Filter pane. Choice columns and other system columns like Modified continue to work as expected.
Something's obviously changed in the last 24 hours with regards to this functionality.
Is opening a ticket via the Office 365 ticket submission process the next step, or is this something that's already been identified and there's a fix in the works?
To summarize, our user's experience is precisely the same as what Bill described in his post: we can no longer filter on metadata values as all that's presented are checkboxes with no text. Also, selecting any one of these checkboxes selects them all, which is surely abberant behavior.
Thanks!
