Angular 2 with SPfx
I'll take a quick response here: yes it is possible. Involves some hacking. Similar to how you can get Angular to work at the moment. The best materials you can find today are by Waldek Mastykarz

There is no official guidance from SPFx on Angular or Angular 2 yet. But it has been referenced in several materials that Angular would be supported as much as React.

Is there an update to this. If I want to to use Angular with http://ngofficeuifabric.com/ then only v1.6 is supported.
