Alternative Solution after Sync Option is disabled
Dear All,
Sync option is great solution however the obvious drawback is that it will sync the entire document library which could be gigs of data (Generate the copies of document locally).
The management doesn't want the staff to copy another set of document in local computer especially non-company computer.
that's why we decide to disable the sync option.
Another challenge is how the end user to edit or save the document to SharePoint in terms of better user experience? Mostly users don't want to open the web browser frequently if possible to update the document.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

- My 2 cents here:
(1) With Files OnDemand you have not to worry about your usesrs synchronizing a lot information coming from SPO Document Libraries
(2) To avoid your employees make incorrect use of your corporate documents, there are some advances features in Office 365 that can help you. Take a look at features such as IRM, Azure Information Protection and others
(3) Document editing from SPO sites: I think you need just to teach your users about how to save documents in SPO and open them from there- Brad Warrender

Remember, Files OnDemand doesn't work with Windows 7, it syncs everything from the user's OneDrive.
- I know and I suggested that assuming Windows 10 is in place...but it's better to see what Wee Teck Tan can sahy here...
