After Azure AD Connect all Onedrives duplicate

We did an Azure AD Connect yesterday and merged existing local users with existing cloud users. And now when then user initally login with their domain account to onedrive their onedrive folder gets duplicated to a folder with the suffix 1.

I manged to gain access to the old folder by editing the userprofile in Sharepoint admin center back to the old one and giving me access:

In powershell it now again lists the old personal folder for this user:

Still she can not access the old OneDrive with her files when she logs in. Do i simply have to wait longer, or is there anything else i can do? All my users basically lost access to their files.
