Adding SharePoint B2B Accounts - Options to send email

Greetings - We recently noticed that when we add a new B2B account to our SharePoint environment that the option to send an email from SharePoint is disabled and no longer have the option to send or not send an email.  This is happening across our entire SharePoint environment and not limited to just one site.  Is anyone else experiencing this as well?
