Planned vs Actual hours in MS Project Pro/PWA
We are currently in the process of migrating to PWA & Project Pro.
We would like to see a view that compares what a user, by task, has planned for that period. We understand that we can see this in the task or timesheet view shown below:
When we record the Actual time spent, 30m, the planned time for this period is altered as shown below:
We DO NOT want this to happen. We would like the PLANNED time to remain at the original 0.43 hours original whilst registering the 0.5h actually worked
Is there a setting or view we are missing?
Thanks in advance of your help 🙂

In Microsoft Project and in PWA, remember this mantra: "Actuals always replace estimates." That is why your team members are seeing the behavior you document on the Timesheet page in PWA. The project managers CAN see the original planned amount in the Microsoft Project schedule by examining the Baseline Work for each task assignment. But to answer your question, no, there is no setting or view that you are missing. You and your users are seeing the default behavior of the tool. Hope this helps.- SPQR1965Copper Contributor
Dale_HowardMVP Thank you very much for your response. It has helped if a little disappointing if you know what I mean

You are more than welcome for the help, my friend! Sometimes the truth hurts. 🙂 BTW, if my reply answered your question, would you please mark my reply as the Best Response? Thanks!
- Ian BrucknerBrass ContributorYou could, however, snap "baselines" using ms project professional. There's "baseline" + "baseline1-10". Baseline (unnumbered) can show in the default "details" grid (checkbox inside "Task Usage Format"). All of those fields can be reported using oData/PowerBI.
