Dependencies on Cloud Based Project
Im using the cloud based version of MS PROJECT. I’m running into a glitch on simply connecting dependencies. I could connect dependencies at one point but now they show up and I cannot choose them. Anyone else experience this? Thank you.
- M_AltobelliCopper ContributorSame, I believe. This was working fine last week, and now when we try to add dependencies to a task it is not possible.

M_Altobelli Thank you for the response. Confirms the issue could be MS. It was working good for me around noon even. Plan on checking agin in the AM. I wonder if there is a way to submit a “service ticket” anywhere.. I’ll let you know what I see.

Select a block of tasks that you want to link, right-click anywhere in the selected block, and then select the Add Dependency item on the shortcut menu. Does that work for you? I just tested and it does work for me. Let us know and we will try to help you.- momentumbrianCopper ContributorHi dale. Thank you for the reply. I’ll try this when I get to the office tomorrow. Just curious, are the other options to create a dependency also blocked for you? One being the dependency column and simply typing the associated dependency line in that block to link i? Or the highly suggested one, in the timeline screen, simply dragging the dot to the wanted dependency? None of these work for me. NOTE: I’m working on the web version.
- M_AltobelliCopper ContributorTested, I can set simple FS dependencies using the right-click method successfully, but when I try to set via the timeline, they don't stick and the lines disappear when I move to another tab (e.g. Boards) and back.
- mattsears1818Copper ContributorThanks, Dale. This works for me. It's an extremely slow process compared to how I normally do it... but it does work for now.
- mattsears1818Copper ContributorI am currently having the same problem. It was working fine a few days ago.
