Available work not showing on Projects report

Hi,

I am trying to get a view of the capacity vs. usage of resources in my team (enterprise resources).

To do so, I use a visual report (based on "resource availability report", but changed it a little to keep some filters active everytime I display it). On this report, I want to see:

  1. Available work
  2. Work
  3. Difference between both.

It works just fine, except during summer holidays: the available work of enterprise resource always stays at 0, no matter what I try. The standard calendar set by my company features 2 weeks in August as holidays.

--> Since a few resources in my team actually work during the holidays, I want it to be shown on my graph.

  • First, I wanted to avoid changing these resources' calendar. I tried to set specifically their availability during the holidays:

Probably a bit silly, but at least now I can say it doesn't change anything.

  • Then, I tried to change the task calendar to one that did not have holidays in it. It didn't make a change either, with or without ticking the "ignoring resource calendar".

  • Lastly, I altered the calendar of the specific resources to have the holidays set as non-default work week:

Paired with a matching task calendar, work is planned for these resources during the holiday weeks. But still, no capacity is shown:

Red is work, blue is capacity. As said, it looks as if there was work but no resource available, which isn't the case.

What am I missing?

I hope my problem is clear.

Thanks for your time,

Tom

Only your Project Online application administrator can resolve this problem. He/she will need to do the following:

    1. Open the enterprise resource pool and check out for editing the resources that will be working during the holiday time period.
    2. Individually edit the calendar of each of those enterprise resources to show that they WILL be working during the holiday (he/she must do this one resource at a time).
    3. Save and close the Enterprise Resource Pool.

This should nicely resolve your availability analysis problems. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I do have key user rights on the Project Center.

That's the last step I did in my original post: through the Project Center resource page, I edited the calendar of each resource individually. The 2nd screenshot shows the (already edited) calendar of one of the ressources, with 1st and 2nd week of August set as non standard work weeks.

When I open the resource information through my project plan, the modification I made through Project Center appears.

      Am I missing a step?
