Domain matching despite business verification rejection
- Jul 25, 2025
Hi everybody, I want to give you my experience with registering as a MS Partner. Both the business and the Domain part of the process failed for 6 weeks. I even had everything deleted and tried again. I continually received these form messages with no description as to why it wasn't "matching" or why they could not verify my company information. I then changed the MS information to exactly match the CASE for both the Company name and email. On my EIN, the company name was in all caps. Once I made the company name all caps, it was a match and automatically approved. Once I changed the email to match the format of the email on the domain registration receipt (looks like this @GetAdaptiveIT.com), the domain was instantly approved. I hope this helps!
alfred45 try updating your legal info in your Microsoft partner account to Soupdee.net and resubmit. I bet they will accept it. It has to match EXACTLY. Let us know how it goes.
Hello, I submitted and when I looked at my account after a couple days, the status still said rejected. In addition, the same support person sent the same email like the first time:
"Dear Partner,
Thank you for your inquiry about your Microsoft Partner Network account in Partner Center. We need more information from you to verify your Microsoft Partner Network account. To proceed with your request, and review your organization's status, please help us by emailing us the following documents.
Please ensure that they are issued within the previous 12 months:
- Domain registration / Domain invoice at registration or renewal that lists Entity/Username and domain as it is stated on your account.
- Official business document, such as a business registration form, business charter, or articles of incorporation that lists Entity name and address as it is stated on your account.
- If not possible to provide additional documentation, please update your account information to match with documents already provided.
List of supported file types and max. file size:
screenshots (only from a source such as government)
.pdf format
Attachments larger than 8MB cannot be received by our system. Please advise if you are unable to provide smaller attachments.
Thank you and best regards,
Microsoft Operations "
Do I send the same documents again? Because I updated my profile in my account it should match the documents already submitted? Also, because now the name is "Soupee.net" on my profile, my business document (domain registration document should match given your previous input) will no longer match exactly because the document will have either "Soupee" or "Soupee LLC."
It seems I am stuck in a loop but am trying my best to ensure this is moving forward.

So, finally it appears that the domain name I had matches, but now they say the address does not match the profile:
"
Dear Partner,
Thank you for your email. I am afraid that the document you have provided does not contain the address that is displayed on your profile account.
Can you send us a recent document that contains the address and company name as they appear on your account?
If unable to provide additional documentation, please update your Profile to match the documents you have already provided.
- If you are operating as a Sole Proprietor, please update your company name to be your legal name.
Thank you and best regards,
Microsoft Operations "
I doubled checked to see that the address should match. Maybe I should highlight in a screenshot showing the address; it would be helpful if they specifically highlighted the issue, such as the "Rd." is used in this document, but "Road" is on your profile? If I can instantly communicate with the person, maybe this could be resolved in the matter of minutes.

alfred45 I agree, their responses could be more clear.
My recommendation is to update your legal info in partner center to match exactly (down to the letter!) the address on your paperwork and resubmit. You should get through pretty quickly after that. Keep us posted.
- LouieGobernSep 04, 2024Copper ContributorWe're having the same verification issue and are now in fear that we can't renew our MPN subscriptions in time.
Please reply to provide a solution achieved.
