Share OSU OSA benefits bewtween partners
Hello,
My company is serving a global customer. This customer has separated projects lead be other partners but on the same product Dynamics Finance.
How is it possible to claim for OSU OSA within our project only ?
Thank you.

- MartijnElfersBronze ContributorDoes the customer have multiple subscriptions for the same D365 Finance licenses?
You can only claim a single partner per subscription. If the customer has a single D365 Finance subscription, than only one partner gets the recognition. If the customer has multiple D365 Finance subscriptions, each partner can claim a separate subscription.
So, unless the customer has multiple subscriptions, there's no way to give multiple partners their recognition.- PopujolCopper ContributorThis is the kind of answer Microsoft Support of partner center is not able to provide and I found no documentation in the OSU OSA claiming guide.
Would you know what reference I could use to explain the customer ?
Thank you so much,- MartijnElfersBronze Contributor
There's no documentation regarding my answer, this is based on experience 😉 You can share the general Learn documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/incentives/submit-osa-claim#create-a-customer-association. There it says that you'll need to select the Subscription ID, thus you claim a specific subscription of the customer. And there can only be a single partner of record per subscription. Hence my answer.
Regarding multiple subscriptions of the same product, this is possible, eg. via CSP they can simply order the same license as a new subscription. But you can't split an existing subscription into 2 or more. They can only purchase new as a separate subscription.
This will also increase the administration work for both the customer and license provider, as now the customer has multiple subscriptions, with possibly different pricing (for same product), different renewal dates, etc. Thus it might not be the ideal solution for the customer itself.
Hope you can work it out!
- PopujolCopper ContributorSo we should ask the customer to have a separate subscription for this project with us, I was not sure it is possible. Thank you very much
