Updating Zoom info on accepted invitations

I have an Outlook calendaring problem that I hope someone can solve.

Here's my situation:

• Someone sends me an invitation for a meeting which I accept. The invitation promises Details Forthcoming, including a zoom link
• I accept the invitation and it shows up on my calendar. However, the forthcoming details, including the zoom link do not show up on the calendar meeting.
• If I can relocate the original invitation email, sometimes the Zoom information is on there, although, again, not on the calendar meeting.
  • I can copy the Zoom link from the invitation email, but cannot edit the calendar meeting to add the link.
• I am working on Office for Mac. I also have an Office 365 account, but appear to have the same problem

Does anyone have any suggestions?
