The Unnecessary Complexity of Microsoft 365 & Outlook Classic: A UX Admin Nightmare for BYOD

Even if I agree to the company's policies when I add the account, that account is a work account added onto a device that is already mine, with my own personal account on it. It follows that ending the relationship is my right — and it should not require fighting a technical war to remove it.

Adding a work account is one click. Removing it should be one click too. When the corporate relationship ends, I should be able to detach the work part and keep the rest of my device exactly as it was. That is the whole expectation of a personal device.

The problem is not that policies applied while the account was active. The problem is that there is no simple, clean way out for the person who owns the machine. Consenting to corporate policy is not consenting to lose ownership of my own computer when the relationship ends.
