Some Events Not Syncing With All Apps
Hi Ian, do you have Malwarebytes on the Mac by chance? VPN/Firewall?
Hi Lisa. No, malwarebytes is not installed, and I'm not using a VPN. There is nothing configured on the Mac firewall. My home router firewall is enabled, but there are no rules configured.

I'm wondering if the mac calendar is not setup for new security and that might be causing it. Are you seeing a security prompt or a "connected apps" when I setup the account?

No prompts or anything.
I deleted the account and re-added it and it seems to be working now, but hopefully it doesn't stop working like it did for Ian below.

Fingers crossed! In my case, after the last delete and re-add of the Exchange calendar, it fully loaded, and now doesn't seem to be accepting updates. I've just checked 3 or 4 recent meeting invites and nothing has been updated in the Apple Calendar. Requesting refresh does nothing.

I'm not sure about the "new security", but MacOS and Microsoft 365 are both right up to date. Today I removed calendar from the exchange account sync and re-added it. It took some time, but all of the calendar entries populated. I then added a new event via Outlook and it didn't update in Calendar app. I changed the refresh calendars setting for the account from "Push" to "every 1 minute" and it then copied the event across. I created another event in Outlook, and another in the Calendar app, and neither has been copied across. Updates from Outlook have appeared on the iPhone app, but not the event added in the calendar app. I've tried changing the refresh setting again, but it makes no difference. So the updates in both directions don't work.

Ian, this might be a bug then. Sometimes I find these in the wild too but the apple calendar should pick up anything from the server.

I'm not sure what "new security" means, but both MacOS and Microsoft 365 are latest versions. Not being properly setup surely would impact all events and not just some. This-morning, I went to Accounts and removed Calendar from the Exchange account in question. I then re-enabled the Calendar and events were slowly synced to the calendar view. It looks like all events have loaded, but the same thing happened a week or so ago when I deleted the account and re-added it. After some time events start to get missed. I've been through this several times now.

An update. I tried killing the calaccessd process since I believe it provides for the sync capability, and when it restarted it's CPU usage went to about 40% for a couple of minutes, and the calendar was updated. I also have access to another Exchange account, which was also not updating, and the same update occurred with it as well. Next time sync stops I'll try with Google calendar as well to see whether the issue is just with Exchange, or whether it's just calaccessd hanging.
