Providing Outlook Add-Ins for customers

I developed an Outlook Add-In. Can I just provide the manifest.xml to my customers using the Sideloading and Network Share methods or must I provide the Add-In through the methods AppSource, Microsoft 365 admin center, SharePoint catalog and Exchange server as described in the document Deploy and publish Office Add-Ins?
