Problem: Cannot Disable Automatic Hyperlinks

I frequently paste network paths that have spaces, so the automatic hyperlink that gets created isn't a full or valid path. Yes, I can right click, delete the incorrect automatic link, and make the new link, but I'd rather just disable the automatic creation in the first place since it is wrong. I've already disabled "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" option in AutoFormat, and turned off the same thing in "AutoFormat As You Type" but the links still get created. How can I stop these links from being created?
