Hi SoyRod, that is a useful observation and I would treat it as a profile/state sync problem until proven otherwise. The practical test is to disable the setting in Outlook on the web, close Outlook desktop, create a fresh Windows profile or fresh Outlook profile, and then sign in without importing local data. If the setting stays disabled there, the old local profile is reapplying cached state. In that case, rebuilding the Outlook profile and clearing old account data is safer than repeatedly changing the cloud setting.
