Outlook for Mac drops attachments
My outlook for Mac fails to send attachments, the paperclip icon disappears a few seconds after sending the email and the attachment disappears. I have cleared the cache but it hasn't resolved it. My 365 apps are up to date and I am running Ventura 13.4.1
Anyone got any ideas?

ActionPlus This is still happening today. I rolled back to "Old Outlook" and was able to post attachments, images, and reply with attachments being kept. It's clearly an issue with "New Outlook". We did some testing and it was only on Forwarding an existing email with an attachment and with new attachments/images on new emails. There are no settings in New Outlook that address this.
Any updates on the fix from Microsoft?
- Ryan099Copper ContributorPretty tragic that a basic feature of email is still not resolved 2 months later, no information from Microsoft themselves either. I did come across this page for anyone that wants any further info, feels like this is the only information we are going to get: https://support.nhs.net/2023/07/microsoft-365-alert-service-degradation-exchange-online-users-email-with-attachments-sent-from-outlook-for-mac-and-the-outlook-mobile-app-may-be-delivered-without-attachments/

Ryan099 ActionPlus Unreal, tbh. Notified IT and MSFT of this in July and received almost no response from Pernille-Eskebo. In fact, we (multiple users on my corp team) were essentially told that we represented such a small subset of users that a fix wouldn't be in the mix. I'm now using legacy/Old Outlook after having used New Outlook since its launch (1-2 years or so?).
I don't think one can put it any clearer - if you cannot send attachments reliably with an email service, the service is no longer of value to clients.

ActionPlus This is still happening. Running MacBook Pro on Ventura 13.5.1 and we *just started* randomly dropping attachments to emails. Using Outlook software on desktop. No rhyme or reason. Does not matter if we pull the attachment from onedrive, google drive, desktop, thumb drive.
- gigtelCopper ContributorSame here. It's 2 months I can't forward or send attachments. They are all disappearing. I have no idea why but it looks like the new app is corrupted. My colleague with the same setting does not have the same issue. This is becoming a nightmare 😞
- DAvidChapman775Copper ContributorThere is another variation here, if I send an email through outlook, using a non Exchange hosted account, then the attachments go every time.

DAvidChapman775 -- there's a new version, but no mention of this bug in the release notes. We shall see:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/outlook-for-mac-release-notes-for-beta-channel-builds-d6347358-5613-433e-a49e-a9a0e8e0462a
- PMOJoeCopper ContributorI've done the update and all Mac related updates as well and I still have the issue. Quite embarrassing when you get notified multiple times that your attachments aren't included. I saw the message about adding the attachment as the last thing before sending. I've tried that and it didn't work for me. Unfortunately, still at the mercy of MS and a fix for this 😞

ActionPlus This is a fault that is affecting all our Macs, but there is a small work around. The attachment has to be the LAST thing you do before clicking send. Do anything else, add another attachment or review the email in anyway and the attachment goes.
I'm using 16.76.2 which updated today and the fault is still there and it is annoying!!
Don't think OneDrive or DB have anything to do with it/
- Metten_NLCopper ContributorHi just chipping in here - Lots of our users (we have 250-300 active users) are (still) having this issue, all working on recent versions of 'new' Outlook for Mac. Not everybody is having the issue and i'm completely failing to recreate the same issue on my own Mac.
While still 'randomly' affecting users, we do see this happening more and more often. For now we have suggested to switch back to 'old outlook' for most users but this is is definitely not a viable solution to us. MS is slow to respond on our support tickets as well.- ActionPlusCopper ContributorGREAT NEWS ! version 16.76 will be released mid August which fixes this issue, so hang in there all, if you are signed up to Insider you can select BETA 16.76 and your problem will be fixed now

Hi folks do we know if 16.76 resolved the 'disappearing attachments' issue? Because I'm running that version and having the same exact problem on my Mac. However I did not (as of yet) delte all my O365 apps and reinstall them. Thanks. ActionPlus
- jminasCopper ContributorSame problem. 3 MACs in the office, all running on the same version of Ventura and all subscribed to the same O365 account. I'm the only one whose Outlook fails to send the attachment with the email. I can sometimes get it to go through if I close Outlook and restart it, but after the first email, it reverts to failing to send the attachment again. Have uninstalled and reinstalled all Office apps and still have the problem. Posting here just so I can follow and see when this gets resolved.

ActionPlus I am getting the same problem. Randomly drops attachments. Can be on a new email, a reply or a forward. Have all MS updates installed and on Ventura 13.4.1. Started within last couple of weeks. Very disruptive and embarrassing to send from business account and repeatedly receive messages back from customers and vendors that attachments are missing.
- ActionPlusCopper ContributorI have deleted all 365 apps off my Mac and reinstalled them and it now seems to be working

ActionPlus Did you simply delete the apps from the application folder, then proceed with the fresh installation? Or, did you also delete the files in the Library directories?
Also, once you reinstalled... did you run any updates on any of the Office apps? Or leave as is at install?
Thanks in advance! 😄
- ActionPlusCopper ContributorSo I installed a new 365 set and then updated all the apps, this worked all day yesterday, this morning it has reverted and is once again removing all attachments and images from every email I send. Pernille-Eskebo what is going on!!!
