Outlook.exe opens URLs in wrong browser

Hi friends, 👋
 A recent version of Outlook (Windows desktop app) has started opening links in the wrong browser. It ignores our system defaults and protocol handlers set in OS Settings and Registry.

 What is the new method to override this so we can open web URL links in our Chromium workflow again?

I heard rumors of an override in O365 admin panel (maybe intune?) and also maybe a local-policy override for WFH/BYOD machines - specifically to stop outlook disobeying normal defaults.🕵️‍
