The Native Method (When Outlook Works Normally)
If you can access your Outlook profile and it is connected to the server, then there is a built-in method that you may want to use to save your email:
- Navigate to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
- From the options provided, select Export to a file and click Next.
- Choose Outlook Data File (.pst) and continue.
- Select your whole mailbox (make sure that the "Include subfolders" checkbox is marked).
- Choose where you want to save the exported emails.
The Alternative Solution (When the file is corrupt/disconnected)
In case your email account is suspended, or the file is too large to be opened, then the above manual solution is likely to crash. This is because Outlook needs a server connection in order to view an offline file.
The quickest way to handle this issue is by using a tool like RecoveryFix OST to PST Converter. The tool will allow you to search for the offline file from your hard drive, repair any corruption, and easily export the emails into a .pst file.
