New Outlook: "Changing the ImapRemoteServerInfo is not allowed" after host migration
Hi Lyubo,
Yes, I'm currently still taking Private Messages for this topic to escalate the mailboxes to the Outlook Team for a reset.
I am experiencing a similar issue with New Outlook for Windows.
My email address, mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons, was previously migrated between hosting providers.
My current provider, CyberCircuit, has confirmed that Microsoft's cloud servers successfully connect to and authenticate my mailbox. However, New Outlook fails to complete the account setup and reports Error: UNKNOWN.
I have already verified the server settings and attempted reinstallation and repair.
Microsoft live support declined further investigation because my computer runs Windows 10.
I noticed that Robert Sparnaaij previously assisted other users with cloud-side IMAP account resets.
Could you please advise whether my account can be investigated for a stale ImapRemoteServerInfo association and how I can request a supported reset?
I understand that a cloud mailbox reset could remove data stored only in Microsoft's cloud. I would like the implications confirmed before authorizing any reset.
