New Outlook: "Changing the ImapRemoteServerInfo is not allowed" after host migration
RobertSparnaaij - Hello Robert, I can imagine this is not your main topic to deal with, but will appreciate if you can help me with the same issue - new Mail host - MS keeps the old IMAP details. May I send you over my details?
Best regards
Lyubo
Hi Lyubo,
Yes, I'm currently still taking Private Messages for this topic to escalate the mailboxes to the Outlook Team for a reset.

Hi Robert,
I am experiencing the same New Outlook IMAP migration issue.
We migrated our email hosting from SmartServers to DreamIT, but New Outlook keeps restoring the old IMAP server configuration.
I have already tried repairing the accounts, removing them from all devices, and testing in a fresh Windows user profile. Nothing has worked.
Newly configured accounts connect successfully to DreamIT, while previously configured accounts continue using SmartServers.
Could you please help escalate a server-side reset of the old IMAP configuration?
I can provide the affected email addresses privately.
Thank you,
Tuan

Hello RobertSparnaaij, my post above just got approved.
I am attempting to send you a private message with the account parameters as requested, but the Tech Community website's outbound messaging tool is completely freezing and refusing to submit on my profile page.
Microsoft Support has already verified the backend block under Case Reference 7110532601. Could you please initiate a direct message thread from your end? Once I receive your incoming message notification, I will be able to reply to it instantly with the affected mailbox address that needs the backend ImapRemoteServerInfo purge.
Thank you for your help !

Hey RobertSparnaaij thanks for helping people out with this. I also sent you a DM a few days ago but it doesn't show up as "Sent" or anything like that in my profile. So just a quick followup here in case you haven't seen the DM :)

You are wellcome to use my case as well for my private account mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons.
I have precisely the issues after i have changed ISP for my private email 3 month ago.
After i spend hours with Microsoft support (3 different support engeneers) who just could suggest recreate the account, outlook reset, use POP 3 etc i tried the leaning community under here
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/6030791/
And after several discussions with Hornblower409 i ended in this thread.
Under the problem diagnose i discovered that at some stage i microsoft tenant for my private email had been created, even though i had no subscription for my private email.
I tried to delete it hoping vthe it would remove the settings from my old ISP - but it did not :-(
So im in the same position waiting for a fix

Robert,
I've sent three cases over here for your help recently:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/6023604/
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/6033962/
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/6030791/
Hate to keep bugging you with these. Is there any other place I can send these folks?

Unfortunately, for now, sending them to that thread for further info so that they can send me a private message with the correct info and confirmation is the only way. Not too much fun but at least people will be able to use their account again in New Outlook and it will keep the pressure on Microsoft to come up with something better. So, it's fine for now ;-)

Thank you very much. I've sent you a private one with the details, funny I cannot see neither your message in my inbox nor the sent one. Hope you've received it, though.
best regards
Lyubo
