Im having exactly the same problem. I can't believe that it hasn't been fixed yet. There are a few suggested work arounds. Which one is the most successful? forbes13

Hi RickyR1969
I posted a workaround to this in 2020, cant believe that this is still a problem and that it wasnt yet implemented natively by microsoft.
well, I’ll just paste below what I posted in page1:
Hint for people that have the same issue and those who might end-up here:
The best solution I found currently is to use MS-flow app, I succeeded to have notifications with a little delay for outlook account.
Install ms-flow app from the store then follow these steps:
- Create a new flow
- from the triggers list, pick when a new email comes v2 (there is a trigger for outlook and one for 365).
- hit login, it will ask you to login
- then add Notification from the action list
- you can choose what to show in the notification (I picked sender and body of email).
- RickyR1969Jun 09, 2024Copper ContributorThank you. I will give that a try. Will there be any licensing issues using MSN Flow? Our company probably doesn't pay for that license.
- Ali_azJun 09, 2024Copper ContributorIm not 100% sure but I think its just a free service from microsoft, I have been using it with my old company and with my personal free outlook email with no problem.
Just a little rectification apparently the app has been renamed to Power Automate instead of microsoft flow

In my experience, none of the workarounds actually work. Most of the posted workarounds are simply people misunderstanding the problem and throwing our solutions that don’t solve the actual problem. The only true work around I found (on android at least) is to use Aquamail or Nine email apps. BOTH will cost money, but they are both fantastic and TRUE outlook replacements. If this is not an option, you'll need to make all mail go to your inbox. If THAT is not an option, you just have to miss getting proper notifications. I'm not sure what options there are for 3rd party mail apps that don’t suck on IPhones. The built in mail app might actually do this??
I would have nonesty expected MS to just buy either Nine or Aquamail and rename it to Outlook by now.- RickyR1969Jun 09, 2024Copper ContributorI don't really have that option because it's a work phone and email account, and they pay for Microsoft for the license. So I really need to. Make it work. I have missed some very important emails.
- EcksfiftyoneJun 09, 2024Copper ContributorI figured that might be the case. I got my company to accept using NINE especially since it fully supports Intune MDM.
