Mobile app Sub folder notifications

We have pushed all our users to use Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, however many are complaining that they have created rules on the Outlook desktop client to put emails in certain sub folder...

bransim So the accepted workarounds to this simple problem are either:

- Notify for absolutely everything

- Notify for subfolders but lose the view of specific items in your inbox

In either case, we will have a deluge of useless information. Really struggling to believe that a company as mature and wealthy as Microsoft can't improve this infinitesimal feature, tbh.

Agreed. There have been a few instances where Microsoft looks for new 'features' without really fixing problems with existing products. Now that they've cut 1000 employees, I don't anticipate issues like this to be fast-tracked anytime soon.

I think there is only ONE workaround.
Tested and it works.
As long as the Outlook client is not working the move to folders rules should not run (exchange side).
Thus if on the rules you check the "Run on this computer only", then while on Mobile all emails will land on inbox and will create an outlook mobile app notification.
You may do this only for the rules you need and not all, as this is a per rule action.
This way you will get notifications on Outlook mobile.
Not the best solution, but may save some of us.
