Mobile app Sub folder notifications
I suspect perhaps they were referring the default mail client. Notifications worked fine using activesync, but the app in question is specifically outlook which many organizations moved to with Basic Authentication being phased out and spotty support for oAuth other apps.
Looks like the workaround is to turn off "Focussed Inbox" under settings. The drawback is your inbox folder will show all mails including those in subfolders.

bransim So the accepted workarounds to this simple problem are either:
- Notify for absolutely everything
- Notify for subfolders but lose the view of specific items in your inbox
In either case, we will have a deluge of useless information. Really struggling to believe that a company as mature and wealthy as Microsoft can't improve this infinitesimal feature, tbh.- Aaron_WatsonOct 31, 2022Copper ContributorAgreed. There have been a few instances where Microsoft looks for new 'features' without really fixing problems with existing products. Now that they've cut 1000 employees, I don't anticipate issues like this to be fast-tracked anytime soon.

I think there is only ONE workaround.
Tested and it works.
As long as the Outlook client is not working the move to folders rules should not run (exchange side).
Thus if on the rules you check the "Run on this computer only", then while on Mobile all emails will land on inbox and will create an outlook mobile app notification.
You may do this only for the rules you need and not all, as this is a per rule action.
This way you will get notifications on Outlook mobile.
Not the best solution, but may save some of us.
Good luck to us all!
