How do I use the key bindings highlighted in the GUI?
How do I use the key bindings that are implied by the underlined letters? I have highlighted two examples with a red rectangle in my screenshot.
Pressing the menu key and then selecting your dropdown menu entry with the key binding that is the underlined letter in the menu entry is one of my favourite UI features in Windows/Office, and I would like to use this functionality in Outlook too.
PS: The underlined letters for some the buttons in the Outlook UI for me only appear if I open the calendar entry from the keyboard, probably because Outlook assumes that I want to continue navigating with shortcuts.
Best regards and thanks for your help
Hi, I have found the solution. You need to activate this functionality in Windows Settings.
Settings > Ease of Access > Select Keyboard > Turn on Underline access keys when available
Then you can use the underlined key bindings by pressing Alt and the underlined key concurrently.
Try it out, a true time saver!
Best regards
