Hit Enter and Previous Sentence is Deleted

Hi, all. I am having a very strange problem inside out my outlook (desktop app). I'll type out a sentence in the body of the email and when I hit enter (on my leyboard), the previous sentence is deleted. In other words, it deletes all text prior to the spot when I hit enter on my keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
