Forgotten Attachment Reminder feature is not available
I'm facing an issue in the New Outlook. Every time I send an email, I need a specific attachment to be included. After some research, I discovered that I could save the attachment link in a template and insert it manually when composing emails. However, this doesn't fully solve the problem—because honestly, I still forget to use the template quite often.
I also learned that Outlook Classic and Outlook on the Web have a built-in feature that warns users when they mention an attachment but forget to include one. Unfortunately, this reminder doesn’t seem to be working for me either.
Is there anyone who can guide me with a reliable solution to ensure my attachment is never missed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Amit_Bansal_MVP,
I have the MS365 Business and Enterprise licenses.- Ensure that you enable the settings: Settings | Mail | Attachments
- Next, when composing an email, include keywords like "attached or attachment included" to trigger the warning.
Sure enough, during my testing. The email without the trigger words was sent immediately.

If add-ins are acceptable, you could use a tool like https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/sperrysoftwareinc1650990119106.safeguard-send-standard-plan?exp=ubp8&tab=Overview, which can prompt you if you are going to send an email outside the company and there are no attachments.

Hi Mike,
can this add-in work with the new Outlook?

Hi Victor!
Yes it works with classic desktop, new Outlook, and OWA, but not phones until November/December time frame.

Can I ask what information or a basic idea of what is in the attachment? You do a few things in 365 in the back end, not in Outlook directly. You can use a template also and while it doesn't do attachments, you can put that information in a 365 form and use the link in forms to get them the info, or just put the info in the template too. That's actually what I would consider.

Just use the classic Outlook: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/attachment-reminder/5dd5ac98-d433-4701-934d-a1bcd20975d1
