Probably something new with the Creators update. I havent updated to it yet, so I cannot test to see if I can reproduce. In any case, I'd advise removing the alias from your MSA, there are all kinds of other issues you will run into. Microsoft has finally decided to pull the plug on this type of configuration, in case you missed it: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/enterprisemobility/2016/09/15/cleaning-up-the-azure-ad-and-microsoft-account-overlap/
- Apr 19, 2017No... I tried this same setup prior to updating to the Creators Update as I said at the start of the post.
While I know and agree the setup I have is no longer allowed, it is still supported and I have never had an issue with it. Until it's required you move away from it, I'm not removing the alias as I have a ton of things that use that MSA account. I'm not removing it to fix this one issue that I expect will create countless others.... not all groups @ Microsoft are ready to deal with that.- PeterWhitehouseApr 30, 2017Iron Contributor
Try changing the autofilled email from "MicrosoftAccount\foo@contoso.com" to "contoso.com\foo@contoso.com" and see if that works.
- Apr 30, 2017Unfortunately not... I did try that when it first happened.
