Please help, OneDrive sync and missing/deleted work files

- Pause or quit OneDrive on both computers immediately and do not delete or move anything else.
- Sign in to OneDrive on the web using the work account, open Recycle bin, select the missing files, and choose Restore. Also check the Windows Recycle Bin.
- If many files were deleted, use Settings, Restore your OneDrive, and select a point before the deletion. This requires Microsoft 365 and can undo file activity from the previous 30 days.
- After recovery, unlink the personal PC through OneDrive Settings, Account, Unlink this PC, then review Sync and backup, Manage backup on both devices. The desktops became identical because both devices used the same OneDrive account with Desktop folder backup enabled.
