Onedrive replaced all versions with old file

Hello.  Onedrive has replaced an Excel file with a old (from March, 2023) version of the file.  I've looked at the version history, but all the versions there appear to be the same old file.  How can I recover the latest version of the file please?

Regards, Stuart

    Check Recycle Bin in OneDrive

Log in to your OneDrive account through a web browser.

Navigate to the Recycle Bin in the left sidebar.

Check for any deleted versions of the Excel file that might still be recoverable.

If found, restore the file from the Recycle Bin.

    OR…

    Use the Previous Versions Feature

If you have OneDrive synced to your local computer, right-click the Excel file in your local OneDrive folder.

Select Properties and then go to the Previous Versions tab.

Look for any local previous versions that may be different from what is shown online and restore the latest one.

So it looks like no one can help.  It appears that one drive is unreliable, and can't be trusted.  I will be telling everyone I know not to use it.  Junk!

      Hello NikolinoDE

Neither of these suggestions worked.  There are no recycle bin copies.  All the previous versions that I've looked at are the same one from March last year, regardless of the actual date given.  I need help on this, as the data is not recoverable by any other means.
