Thanks for this help, I was able to revert to an old version, but lost 1 hour worth of data entry. I am questioning if it is worth continuing to use Microsoft products, however, as this is far from the first time I've had issues. Despite having autosave on, Excel blanked my file and I had to restore to a previous version. Microsoft really does itself no favours trying to minimise costs as a company as the cost to reputation is going to lose customers.
I recommend funding for a more robust QA process or to invest some more dev capacity on issues that cause data loss as this can cause substantial cost to your customers.
