OneDrive link not working once shared
When sharing a video over OneDrive to someone else, once the other person gets the link...it just open the thumbnail and says wait for browser to start downloading..and it just stays this way for infinity.
Workaround for this is to create folder, and share the folder instead.
Tried same video over google drive it works without issue. This was a problem for me like a year ago.
Is there some reason for this?

This is well known issues while we working on 365 few options I could recommend
Try sharing the folder instead of the video file, check permissions ( when you share it ensure you double check settings), use a different browser( Edge recommend or Chrome ) disable extensions ( some times we install extension which block ads it may cause this issue few security antivirus turned off those )

Sometimes, OneDrive's shared links may get stuck due to cached data, cookies, or outdated session information stored in the browser. Click to Clear data in your browser and then restart the browser.
If this happens only in Video sharing here some workarounds.
Share via Folder:
- As you've discovered, placing the video inside a folder and sharing that folder can bypass the issue. This method has been effective for other users facing similar problems.
Modify the Sharing Link:
- Some users have reported success by altering the sharing link. Specifically, changing a character in the URL from 'i' or 'v' to 'f' can switch the link's behavior, potentially resolving the download issue. For example, modifying the link from .../guestaccess.aspx?docid=... to .../guestaccess.aspx?docf=.... Please exercise caution with this method and ensure the modified link directs to the correct file.
