OneDrive - selecting files on a D: drive?

Hi. I have read on this forum that OneDrive will only sync from my local computer's C: drive. Is this true? My PC has a relatively small SSD C: drive for OS and apps, and a separate 1TB SATA drive that I store all of my music, photos, documents etc. (too big for the C: drive). It is an HP desktop, so nothing out of the ordinary.
Is there any way to configure OneDrive to select folders on a 😧 drive - where I store everything?
Thank you.
